B2B account to qualified meeting

Validate an ICP, research a small account set and give every accepted record a clear sales next step.

The situation

A prospecting workflow starts with a defined market and a reason to speak, not a large export. Research quality, contact rules and CRM ownership should be tested as separate questions before the team increases outreach.

Work through it

  1. Define the account attributes that make a business relevant, plus exclusions. Pick one narrow segment and explain why a conversation would be useful to that buyer.
  2. Inspect a small sample of accounts and fields required for the next action. Record missing, stale or ambiguous details rather than treating a match count as proof of quality.
  3. Assign each accepted account to an owner with a next action and a suppression/opt-out rule. Review replies, qualified meetings and rejected records in the same log.

What to measure

  • Sampled accounts passing the fit and field check
  • Valid next actions assigned to an owner
  • Relevant replies and qualified meetings

Boundaries

  • Purchased volume is not a measure of market demand. Do not use the workflow to justify indiscriminate bulk messaging.
  • Contact basis, suppression and local outreach rules must be checked for the actual market and channel.

Questions for your own workflow

  1. What three attributes make an account in-scope?
  2. Which field is essential before a person can act?
  3. Who owns records that fail validation?
